Unlike the lush valleys found elsewhere in the Marquesas, Ua Huka has dry landscapes, wild horses, and unique endemic wildlife. It's known for traditional wood carving, botanical gardens, archaeological sites, and one of the richest collections of Marquesan craftsmanship.
